Departure in the morning to the Prahova Valley, the gate to Transylvania. First stop in Sinaia, a winter resort called "The pearl of the Carpathians ". Sinaia is famous for its 3 royal castles: Peles, Pelisor and Foisor. The first you will visit is the Peles Castle, the most beautiful castle in Romania, in German style, built by the Romanian King Carol Ist and becoming after the summer residence of all Romanian kings.

Afterwards, the next castle is Pelisor Castle - decorated by the Queen Maria, the most loved Romanian Queen ever, who brought the ArtNouveau style in Romania. Unfortunatelly the last one, the Foisor Castle is not open to the pubblic, as it is used by the president, the Government etc and was Ceausescu's favourite home.

We will continue our journey with the Dracula's Castle in Bran, famous all over the world for its guest Vlad Tepes who used it as a headquarters for his incursions into Transylvania. In Romania is famous also for its important guest- the queen Maria - who loved spending the summers at this simple castle, away from the luxury of the royal life.

Stop to have a typical Romanian lunch in Bran.

Our next visit will be the Citadel of Rajnov, a fortified Saxon citadel from the XIIIth century, or the medieval city of Brasov.

Late in the evening return to Bucharest to the hotel.
