Day 1 - Start living your fairytale

Arrival in Crit, a very old, Transylvanian village, almost forgotten by the outside world, with old houses, many of them over 200 years old. Home made organic dinner and accommodation in traditional charming guesthouse, a house carefully restored while keeping the authenticity of an old Transylvanian house.

Day 2 – Discovering the surroundings by horse carriage

After breakfast we will have a walk with a local guide in the village to explore the surroundings. We will go up on the West hill to admire the whole village and visit the Evangelic Church with its banks painted from 1793 and its olds bell from 1549 and 1551. On the way back we will have a watching bees session, a guided visit to the beekeeper where we will open the hives to see the bees' work and the hive's organisation ( with protection costumes )

Then lunch in our guesthouse and if you want a little “siesta”. In the afternoon we will have a horse carriage trip over the hill, crossing the meadows and the forest. Here we will meet the coal man and discover the secrets of his work. Then by car or bicycle we will go in neighbour Saxon village Mesendorf to visit its ancient fortified church. Come back in the guesthouse where a delicious dinner will be waiting. Overnight in the guesthouse.

Day 3 – Visiting a blacksmith workshop, a felt workshop, a brick and tiles workshop

In the morning departure to Viscri, a beautiful Saxon village hidden behind the hills and the forests. In this magic place prince Charles himself bought a typical house and spends sometimes his holidays. Here we will visit the traditional blacksmith workshop (1hour ) then visit the felt workshop ( 1 hour ) and the fortified church from Viscri ( Unesco patrimony ). We continue by horse carriage to the sheep fold or if you prefer a visit to the traditional bricks and tiles workshop.

For lunch we will have a picnic in the middle of the nature and after that a walk in the village to admire the traditional colourful houses. Arrival in our guesthouse where a Romanian wine testing is prepared for you: wines from few regions, including information about the grapes and Romanian wines: Feteasca Neagra, Feteasca , Regala , Alba, Muscat Otonel. Dinner and overnight in the guesthouse.

Day 4 – The fortified citadels Unesco Patrimony

After breakfast departure to Sighisoara, one of the few inhabited medieval fortified cities from Europe from 13th century. During the 12th century, German craftsmen and merchants known as the Transylvanian Saxons were invited to Transylvania by the King of Hungary to settle and defend the frontier of his realm. So the fortified citadel was Sighisoara was born. Here is also the birth place of Count Vlad Tepes ( so called Dracula ).

Visit of the historical centre (listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Sit ). The houses inside Sighisoara Citadel show the main features of a craftsmen's town. However, there are some houses which belonged to the former patriciate, like the Venetian House and the House with Antlers. Lunch in Sighisoara. After lunch we have a stop to visit Teo’s caves with different kind of brandys ( apple, pear, plum etc )

Then we continue to Saschiz village having also its fortified church protected by Unesco. Here we will meet a local producer of fruit gems and other traditional products. Visit of the fortified church from Cloasterf, less known but with very special preserved pews painted in the most pure traditional Saxon style. Home made dinner and overnight in the guesthouse.

Day 5 – Going back home
