Duration: 8 days/7nights
Day 1 - Bucharest
Arrival in Bucharest, transfer from the airport to the hotel. Bucharest City tour by evening and welcome dinner in a traditional restaurant. Overnight Bucharest hotel.
Day 2 – Bucuresti - Curtea de Arges – Sibiel( 280 km )
Departure in the morning to Curtea de Arges. Visit of Curtea de Arges Monastery and the Sf. Nicolas Church. Lunch.Visit of Cozia Monastery, in “brancovenesc” style. Arrival in the evening in Sibiel, home-made dinner and overnight in Sibiel.
Day 3 – Sibiel - Sibiu - Prod ( 150km )
In the morning visit of the original Museum of icons on glass in Sibiel then city tour of Sibiu. Lunch. We continue with the visit of Biertan citadel and departure to the horse farm, in the middle of the country. The farm is surrounded just by quiet wooded hills with their very special charm . In the evening we’ll get to know the horses and have a delicious home made dinner at the farm. Overnight.
Day 4 – Horse riding
In morning around 10 o’clock we put saddles on the horses and leave for a ride on the hills (3-4 hours). When we get back a tasty lunch is waiting for us. In the afternoon after having a small “siesta” if you still feel for riding you can choose by going on another short ride on the hills or stay in the arena and improve your riding technique. Dinner and overnight at the farm.
Day 5 – Horse riding
Today we’re leaving for a new adventure ( 3-4 hours ) exploring the woods, up on the hills, forests, passing small isolated Transylvanian villages. You will enjoy the view and there is a 90% chance to see a deer or a fox. After lunch we have another 2 hours tour in the forests. Rider or not, everybody can enjoy the beauty of Transylvanian landscapes riding a horse or laying down in a wagon filled with hay (hay ride). You can choose horseback riding, hay ride or a combined program-riders following wagons. Dinner and overnight at the farm.
Day 6 – Prod- Sighisoara –Brasov – Bran ( 150km )
Departure in morning to the city fortress Sighisoara, one of the very few inhabited 13th Century citadel in Europe and the birthplace of legendary Vlad Tepes Dracula. Visit of the historical centre and afterwards departure to Viscri, a Saxon village with its citadel protected by Unesco. In the evening arrival in Brasov, city tour of the medieval centre. In the evening arrival in Bran where a home made dinner is waiting for you and overnight in a guesthouse in Bran.
Day 7 – Bran - Sinaia - Bucharest ( 150km )
In the morning visit of the Bran castle ( Dracula’s castle ) and nearby the Rajnov citadel from 13th century. Then we continue to Sinaia with the beautiful royal castle Peles, from the times of King Carol the 1st. In the evening arrival in Bucharest, farewell dinner in a traditional restaurant and overnight in Bucharest hotel.
